A screenshot is an image that shows the content of a screen. Screenshots are crucial for troubleshooting.
Select the name of your device's operating system to view the instructions.
Depending on your device model, you can take a screenshot using one of the ways below. Open the screen you want to capture and follow one of these instructions.
- Press the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time. Hold them for a few seconds. The screenshot will be saved to your device.
- Press and hold the Home and Power buttons simultaneously for a few seconds.
- Hold down the Power button for a few seconds. A menu will appear where you need to tap the Screenshot option.
Open the screen you want to capture and follow one of these instructions, depending on your device model.
iPhone
- Models with Face ID. Press the Side and Volume up buttons at the same time. Then quickly release both buttons.
- Models with Touch ID and the side button. Press the Side and Home buttons at the same time. Then quickly release both buttons.
- Models with Touch ID and the top button. Press the Top and Home buttons at the same time. Then quickly release both buttons.
iPad
- If you have an iPad with a Home button, press the Top and Home buttons at the same time. Then quickly release both buttons.
- If you have another model, press the Top button and either of the Volume buttons at the same time. Then quickly release both buttons.
Press the Power and Volume down buttons at the same time. Hold them for a few seconds. The screenshot will be saved to your device.
